HAVE YOU MET ME? Holy crow do I love Ashtanga Yoga. I love trying and failing. and trying and failing. and (2 years or 3 days or one vinyasa later) trying and succeeding! I love not understanding and asking for help. and getting it. or not getting it and just trying and working and finally not needing the help. I love the lessons that come from this work. I love learning about myself through this practice of asana and discipline and surrender. I am endlessly grateful for the daily experience of suffering and joy that make up this practice, the heuristic I use to (try to) understand the suffering and joy that make up day to day life. But more than that, I love my teachers. I love the faith and the trust inherent in the student-teacher relationship of the ashtanga yoga method, the parampara.
